Classy nose with expressive and complex black fruit that are beautifully integrated with spice seems and subtle oak. Lovely purity and focus on the palate. Mid-weight with a red and black cherry core fused with bramble, cranberry, cedar and mocha.
Lively straw yellow. Candied ginger and ripe pear; aromas of fresh yellow fruits are released upon swirling the glass, bananas, pears, candied citrus fruits. Pear and citrus fruit “Sabayon”, silky wine with a generous length and a refreshing finish. Very pleasurable and harmonious wine, it its well-integrated sweetness and harmony. The fruit aromas are enhanced by the fitness of the oak.
Since 2006, Petit-Figeac has been produced from a selection of Figeac vines. Hand-harvested and vinified in stainless steel and oak vats, it is aged on average for 15 to 18 months, 80% in second-fill barrels and 20% in new barrels.
The nose displays aromas of black fruit while the palate is dense with supple, tight-knit tannins. The structure is superb. It has an ageing potential of 8 to 15 years.
