Sarti Rosa is a modern Italian aperitivo from Casa Luigi Sarti & Figli, a historic Bologna distillery established in 1885. Previously only available in Europe, this vivid pink Sicilian liqueur made its US debut to considerable buzz from those who'd encountered it abroad. Made with Sicilian blood orange, mango, and passion fruit, it lands on the fruitier and more tropical side of the aperitivo spectrum — bright, refreshing, and noticeably less bitter than Aperol or Campari. At 14% ABV, it's effortless over ice and built for the spritz. Follow the classic 3-2-1 method: 3 parts Prosecco, 2 parts Sarti Rosa, 1 part club soda, finished with a slice of lime.

It's pink, it's fruity, and it's always a party with Sarti Rosa Aperitivo! What a great summertime aperitif to go with lunch, brunch for dinner.

Definitely 40% Mango, 40% Passion Fruit and 20% blood orange. The blood orange is really just in the background, very faint. But you do get the tropical notes from the mango and the passion fruit.

It's not sweet at all, but more akin to Aperol in terms of strength. This goes well and mixes well with something like an Edinburgh rhubarb and ginger, Iamazzotti's Roso Amaro, or something like Italicus bergamot. I talked about that...

If you get a chance to see it, it kind of goes into further detail about what Sarti tastes like. You can also serve it with a sprig or two of fresh mojito mint, or a slice of orange. I wouldn't go too crazy with the garnishings, I'm in it's not a pina colada or a margarita. Lol. But if you wanted to put a slice of pineapple in there, I'm sure that'd be just fine.
