Pomp & Whimsy is everything I never knew I wanted in a spirit. It's light and floral with notes of cucumber, lychee, lime, lemon, grapefruit and more! The smell alone makes my mouth water. It has a touch of sweetness since it is a liqueur but it is very well balanced. I mix it with almost every other spirit in my liquor cabinet. It's great with bubbles, in a margarita, or even an old fashioned! The options are endless and I'm here for it. Whenever I go to a party or get together I bring a bottle, it's always a hit. Plus I just found out they're a women-owned company! Bonus!
The title online is a bit misleading, although the copy explains this is a liqueur, not a gin. It's weird. I love floral gins, make my own rose syrup and play around with botanical infusions, so I'm unusually fond of floral flavors. However, this is perilously close to upscale bubble bath! I'm using it as an accent in G&T's, it plays well with Meyer Lemon and Pink Grapefruit. On the rocks with a splash of citrus it might work as an aperitif.
