Putting the Fun in Funky

It's a rice whiskey done in an Islay style and it's probably not like much you've had before, but it's really enjoyable, and your mouth will thank you for trying it, and ask that you give it more to figure it out. There's a hint of mineral / seaweed / umami to it, and definitely some peaty goodness. Not the strongest mouthfeel for a Japanese whiskey, but still above average. Is it a clear winner? No. Is it interesting? Yes. Would you feel entirely safe taking a road trip with it? Probably not, but you'd do it anyway because you'll have stories to tell your grandkids.
