Nose: Slow development of dark fruits, buttery sherry oak, walnut skin, lifted rye spice above it all with a touch of vanilla; splash of water yields multiple fruit notes.
Taste: Full-bodied and broad; savory, surprisingly dry entry leads to sappy sherry backed with malty grain; well-integrated between sherry oak and grain character; although it's wickedly friendly straight up, you can add water to emphasize sherry notes, or less water for more rye.
