Los Magos Blanco is a wild-harvested sotol from the Chihuahuan Desert — distilled from the Desert Spoon plant, not agave, making it neither tequila nor mezcal. Protected by a Denomination of Origin, the plant grows wild across Northern Mexico and takes roughly fifteen years to mature. Each batch is roasted in a volcanic rock-lined pit over mesquite, oak, and poplar, fermented in open air with deep well water, and triple distilled in copper stills. No additives at any stage.
Bright and herbaceous on the nose with citrus, fresh herbs, and black pepper, opening into honey and savory spice with a hint of smoke from the roasting pit. Sweet, warm, and unusually smooth for 76 proof. A genuinely unique spirit worth exploring.

One of the store employees suggested this wine to me and I'm so glad he did, I was pleasantly surprised at how flavorful it was.
