THE best deal in bourbon

OK, I know, I usually say this about Eagle Rare, but hear me out. This actually has far more age on the palate than Eagle Rare. I don't get a lot of oak with Eagle Rare, but the Knob 12 has it in spades along with the vanilla and subtle nuttiness. Yes, this bottle has a higher MSRP than ER, but it is sold at MSRP everywhere, unlike ER. Unless you are a die hard, Buffalo Trace fanatic, I really think you will get far more out of a Knob Creek 12 year bottle than any BT bottle at the same price. There, I've said it. Let the BT fanboys loose their minds.

A little too oaky for me

I haven't had Knob Creek in quite a while. I decided to give it a try now that I have got into bourbon. It may be a '1st pour' issue, but it is very woody on the back end of the palate. For the price point, I like the Mission Maker's Mark pick better. This is supposed to be a 3 star review.
