High West is Utah’s first distillery, born in 1879.  High West Rendezvous Rye Barrel Select Whiskey 92-proof is an extra aged, higher proofed, single barrel version of High West's standard Rendezvous Rye Whiskey. Traditional High West Rendezvous Rye whiskey blends older straight ryes with younger ryes to create a whiskey with uncompromised flavor. The flavor is very spicy with notes of cinnamon, vanilla, caramel, molasses, and candied fruit. Ideal for a Manhattan, High West whiskey has a balanced body that is an ideal addition to countless cocktail recipes.

My Favorite

This review feels like deja vu'. This is my favorite whiskey, I try to keep a bottle around. It is complex as can be, and is addictively smooth.

My favorite Whiskey under $250

Just awesome stuff. It is better than most really expensive ones, and has a complex rye contribution. This is what Whiskey is supposed to taste like. No flaws. My only question is how they used a 16 year old Rye in the blend when High West has only been around for 14 or so years.
