This Kentucky Bourbon pays tribute to the earliest days of the distillery’s history, when in 1939 they released their first Bottled-in-Bond. This Bourbon was their namesake brand, and quickly became the top-seller in the state of Kentucky. Still today, the craftsmanship poured into Heaven Hill Bottled-in-Bond by the same founding family meets the exacting standards first set forth in the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897.

The mash bill is 78% corn, 10% rye and 12% malted barley.

Color: Golden amber

Nose: Vanilla, honey, and caramel

Taste: Smooth, warm and sweet with a subtle rye spice note

Finish: Long, lingering

A nice example of BIB

This takes a little bit to open up, but once it does, it's a great daily sipper, but it also punches above its weight. Opening it up and letting it rest for a while is key. My first couple of drams, I was really disappointed (and I love HH products). Once it opened up, it was delicious!

Sweet honey

Great taste of sweetness with honey and caramel flavor. A bit of Spicy and oak.
Overall a great whiskey.
