Named Sayuri, meaning "Little Lily," this elegant nigori sake reflects the delicate beauty and grace often associated with Japanese culture. At 12.5% ABV, it offers a smooth, approachable drinking experience that is equally enjoyable for newcomers and seasoned sake enthusiasts.
Unlike most sake, which is fully filtered to produce a clear, crisp appearance, nigori is only coarsely filtered, allowing fine rice sediments to remain. This creates its characteristic cloudy appearance and gives the sake a fuller body, silky texture, and gentle creaminess.
Sayuri opens with delicate aromas of white grape and subtle floral notes reminiscent of cherry blossom. The palate is soft and lightly sweet, with fresh fruit flavors balanced by a creamy, velvety mouthfeel that lingers into a smooth, satisfying finish. It is best enjoyed chilled or at room temperature, allowing its delicate aromatics and rich texture to shine.
Pairs Excellent with spicy ramen, BBQ ribs, Caesar salad, or lightly spiced Asian dishes.
