Don't sleep on this, especially if you like the other Remus offerings. A great find. Thanks, Mission!
I've never had a Remus before this bottle so I can't speak to how it compares to any other bottle from this label. What I can say is, I'm not new to bourbon, having been a hunter for the last 5 years after converting from single malt scotches. My favorites are Eagle Rare, EH small batch, Knob 12, and a few of the Barton iterations. This Remus private barrel really hits the spot for me, as the proof is not over the top and the flavors are very nice. I know this is often used, but it is smooth and easy drinking. The best part for me is the finish, as it just feels good lingering on the back of my tongue. This one intrigues me enough that I need to explore the whole label, especially the standard Remus bottle for under $35. Mission hits it out of the park again with this one. I will never doubt their private barrel selects, period.
