Growing 100% of their own grains on site, Frey Ranch won bourbon enthusiasts over with hands-on attention to detail and a penchant for big, bold, high-proof flavors.
The Quad Malt takes things a step further — utilizing the same four-grain mashbill as the standard bourbon (corn, winter rye, winter wheat, and barley) but with all four grains malted on site. Where most bourbons only malt the barley as a fermentation catalyst, the Quad Malt treats all four grains as flavor contributors, resulting in big fruity flavors up front that morph into candy corn and malted chocolate. A side-by-side with the standard Frey Ranch bourbon is highly recommended to appreciate just how much the malting process transforms the spirit.
