The best way to describe Braulio is if Cynar and Fernet Branca were merged together.
Flavor:
40% Cola & Artichoke like Cynar, notes of Rhubarb.
30% Alpine Pine, Eucalyptus and Camphor, but not as "aftershave" as Fernet Branca.
20% Root like unsweetened Sassafras, Mug Root Beer
9% is Alpine Herbal flavors like Thyme, Sage and Rosemary.
1% wafts, hints, notes of mint, fennel, anise, stone fruits and honey.
The flavor profile really depends on how long it's been sitting in ice and the water from the ice diluting it. Meaning, sometimes you'll pick up more sweetness, sometimes more bitterness. Other times you might get more of the pine and eucalyptus, versus getting more of the artichoke and cola flavors.
Braulio is definitely Broad in terms of flavor profile, deep and rich flavors.
Braulio is more mature than the abrupt harshness of Fernet Branca.
Braulio definitely has body and depth.

This is definitely a beverage I would enjoy maybe twice a month, or on a special occasion type of thing. It's something to be savored, like winning a trophy at the end of a long journey.
I would say if you were going to a special occasion party, or inviting special, sophisticated friends over for dinner, this would be something to break out like a fine wine after dinner as a digestive... but not quite like a dessert wine.
Braulio is the, "hey, let's relax in the Library or out on the patio in some lounge chairs" kind of beverage you have after the meal is complete.
I’m always weary making purchases online that seem to good to be true. I bought both RR13y for $199 and CN-B for $299, both well below most secondary prices. Bottles were packaged perfectly and I received them just a few days after ordering. I’m a happy camper (no pun intended) with Mission And will def buy from them again. Can’t wait to crack these open soon!
The taste is not right, The anise flavor is probably synthetic. The lower price Touma (Lebanese brand) is many folds better quality and flavor!
