Winemaker Jacques and Francois Ramazotti
Story: Domain Petroni covers 100 hectares of vines, situated next to lake Diana, since 1885. This winery is currently operated by brothers Jacques and Francois Ramazotti, surrounded by the Corsican mountains to the west and the Mediterranean to the east.
Vineyard: The soil is characterized by sand and clay sediments left over by the evaporation of the Miocene sea. The vines are on average 25 years old.
Vinification: The wines are made in a traditional manner. The fermentation takes approximately 20 days in stainless steel tanks.
Tasting notes: This wine has a ruby hue with hints of violet. The nose then offers aromas of red berries and a delicate hint of spice and minerality. Supple on the palate, notes of roasted red fruit intertwine with silky tannins and good length. Ageing potential of 5 years.
Food pairing: Pairs perfectly with grilled red meat, pizza and sheep’s milk cheese.
