This wine is from the Estate of the Lancon Family, who has been producing top quality Rhone wines for more than five centuries. This Cuvee is a tribute to their famous Italian ancestors, the Barberini, who founded the Domaine de la Solitude. The red Cuvee Barberini is a blend of Grenache 60%, Syrah 25%, and Mourvedre 15%, all coming from their best vineyards of old vines grown on the famous "galets roules terroirs'. About 80% of this wine is aged in oak barrels for 15 months.
