Mainly used as a component for blends, this gives independent bottlers the perfect opportunity to showcase distilleries like Benrinnes. This 11 year old bottling from the Speyside distillery has been matured in Palo Cortado hogsheads since 2023 instilling an abundance of flavor. Some highlights include notes of sultanas, orange zest, coffee cake, blackcurrant and saffron.
Nose: Maraschino cherries, sultanas, chocolate liqueur, olive leaves.
Flavor: Orange zest, blood orange, rosé vermouth, cherries.
Finish: Coffee cake, baking spices, cinnamon, blackcurrant, saffron.

Put this in a blind against Old Forester 1924. The King of Kentucky lost by a significant margin.. The KOK was mediocre at best. Ethanol with a little flavor.
Mission has great ‘exclusive’ selections and this Cazcanes is truly on point.
