Bergamot is the fruit of the bergamot tree which is mainly grown in Italy.
Bergamot oranges are the result of crossing a bitter orange variety with a lime variety. Its flesh is slightly acidic and bitter. Only the zest of the orange is used in order to extract a natural essential oil from it which is used for our liqueur or in the renowned Earl Gray tea and also in “bergamote de Nancy” (sweets from East of France).
Due to the acidic characteristic of bergamot essential oil our Bergamot Orange liqueur has had conferred on it a fresh somewhat lemony taste but it also has a more spicy even smooth note.

I would recommend this tequila, it has a good premium taste.
I really wanted to like this one as it has been on my bucket list. Was a bit disappointed in its initial harshness but that’s expected with a higher abv. Despite that it has a delicious butterscotch flavor, great nose, and comes in a beautiful decanter. If I could do it again, I would buy Tears of La Llorona and save a few dollars and get more for the money.
