The Balvenie 1931 Collection Home Malt is a 12 year old single malt celebrating one of the distillery's most cherished traditions — home malting. Made from 100% barley grown and malted at The Mains of Balvenie Farm and partner farms, Malt Master Kelsey McKechnie crafted this expression using techniques that echo those behind The Balvenie's rarest and oldest releases. Aged in American oak and finished in ex-sherry European oak butts from Jerez, Spain, the result is beautifully layered at 47.5% ABV. Warm biscuit and honeyed toffee on the nose with delicate ginger and aromatic oak, melting into barley sugar sweetness, crystallized ginger, and delicate raisin on the palate, finishing rich, velvety, and smooth. Created in collaboration with world-renowned contemporary artist Daniel Arsham.
