This Margaux Wine… A Series of Fortunate Events!
Borne out of a single 55 acre hillside vineyard on the eastern side of the Dauzac Estate, these vines were described as the “rising sun vines” in 1670.
Aurore in French means “Dawn.” This wine both smells and tastes of dawn, a new day filled with sensory pleasures.
As the “second wine” of a “Fifth Growth” estate as classified by Napoleon in 1855, this Bordeaux blend captures magic in a bottle.
The magic is how all of the elements of this wine come together as a symphonic masterpiece in the very beginnings of its perfect drinking window, which begins now.
The 2022 vintage produced lovely, beautiful, elegant, and powerful Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot grapes that express a fresh wine with fruitiness produced from the fine, gravel soils of this hilltop property.
With a nose that is floral with notes of fresh red fruit, this wine is crisp, fruity, and intense on the palate. The wine finishes with a nice length and with tannins that are silky and not overpowering.
Think pork tenderloin, chicken piccata or grilled chicken salad, herb roasted lamb or duck, and manchego, aged gouda, or Sartorial Bellavitano cheese platters.
Think March Madness… Think Easter Lilies and Easter Egg Hunts… Think Spring flowers in full bloom!
