Ardbeg Smokiverse is the distillery's most experimental Committee release in recent memory, built around a genuine distilling technique called High Gravity Mashing. By reducing water and packing more grain into the mash than ever before, Ardbeg's team dramatically increased the sugar content and yeast impact during fermentation, resulting in an unusually high ester count and a flavor profile Dr. Bill Lumsden describes as "smoked bubblegum."

The nose opens with muscovado sugar, ripening barley, and toasted sourdough, with sweet peat smoke orbiting ripe tropical fruits. The palate is rich, creamy, and intensely concentrated with a crushing mouthfeel that lingers long after the last sip. Bottled at 96.6 proof, this is Ardbeg at its most adventurous.
