Abasolo is the first 100% Ancestral Corn Mexican whisky, created as an homage to Mexico's rich culture and flavorful heirloom grain. Abasolo is crafted only from the finest non-GMO Cacahuazintle corn that has been cultivated for hundreds of years by local farmers. A 4000-year-old traditional cooking process called Nixtamalization then transforms the ancestral corn into this unique whisky, uncovering notes of roasted corn, honey, vanilla, chamomile tea, and leather.

Mixes Well

Abasolo Whisky is a unique spirit that provided me with Mezcal notes on both nose and palate. I found it equally pleasant neat and on the rocks. But where I really think it excelled was when it was mixed with several dashes of habanero bitters, Square 1 Luscious Lime mixer, and 1oz. bourbon, shaken and poured over an oversized ice cube in a doubles glass then garnished with a lime wedge. To be clear, this is not your traditional American-style whiskey. Act accordingly.

Love this!

My brother loved this and he's a whisky expert. It's unique enough that nobody has anything like it in their collection, and a total crowd pleaser for sipping on the rocks or making cocktails!

Next Chapter in World Whisk(e)y is here!!!

I am so happy I bought this product! I love sipping on brown spirits so when I happened to find this corn whisky coming from Mexico I couldn't believe it. Mexico is making whisky? The answer is YES and it is a game changer. They use the same process that they use to expand corn in cooking and wow do the flavors come out in this unique take on what I consider a personal favorite as far as spirit categories. I would recommend this to anyone!
