House of Far Niente

Founded in 1885 in the heart of Oakville, Far Niente is one of Napa Valley's most storied estates — shuttered during Prohibition, then painstakingly restored in 1979 and now recognized as a benchmark producer of Napa Valley Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon. The name itself, Italian for "the sweetness of doing nothing," says everything about the philosophy behind the wines.
