This is a very smooth and enjoyable whiskey. A really nice change and less bite, from the humdrum Jack and Wild Turkey, but to each their own. John Rich is a great patriot, and he's made an excellent whiskey worth trying. Cheers!
If you like Deanston 12yr you will probably like this. Sipped neat, flavor is more concentrated, nutty, butter,y dried fruity (apricot?) sweet tang, very smooth, with a higher ABV (53.2%) subtle afterburn
More flavor than any whiskey I've every tasted (and nearing 80 years old, I've tasted many) no doubt due to the barell proof. And it's a wonderful flavor, too. Thrilled its on my shelf.
