I’m a huge fan of BBQ. There are so many styles across the country and internationally, and when people ask me for a wine pairing, I usually have follow-up questions to nail down those nuanced flavors that make or break the match.
That said, I’ve found wines that shine alongside classic American-style BBQ — and this is one of them. In fact, it overdelivers. Beyond pairing beautifully with BBQ favorites, it’s also fantastic on its own when you want a glass with heft and a full, smooth mouthfeel.
A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Malbec, this wine offers depth, balance, and bold flavor. The nose hints at red currants, fresh strawberries, black plums, vanilla, and cocoa dust. On the palate, you’ll find layers of black and red currants, red cherries, mixed berry compote, and toasted hazelnuts, finishing with silky-smooth tannins and beautiful texture.
