Select vineyards from all over the Valley. 2021 was a fairly warm, dry year with manageable crop loads; Handful of days in the low 100s mid June. Concentrated yields with harvest dates September 26th through October 20th.
50% new French oak aging. Garnet slash dark cherry in color. Lovely, expressive nose full of cassis and vanilla, with background notes of rhubarb and mint. Velvety smooth flavors of ripe plum, blackberry and baker’s chocolate. Finishes long with notes of cassis and hints of tobacco.
