This high proof, Bottled-in-Bond Bourbon was named for Henry McKenna, the Irish immigrant who adapted his family's whiskey recipe to work with the grains he found in Kentucky. Henry McKenna is one of the longest aged Bottled-in-Bond whiskeys available today, resting in the barrel through 40 Kentucky seasons. Critics agree that this is perfectly balanced Bourbon.

Made with a mash bill of 75% corn, 15% rye, and 12% malted barley.

Color: A warm golden amber

Nose: Vanilla, caramel, oak, and a light herbaceous note

Palate: smooth oak, sharp spices, honey, and sweetness

Finish: Long, sweet, and spicy

Very good once it opened up

I was not impressed when I first opened this bottle, and equally un-impressed on the second pour a few days later. I let this sit for a few weeks and was very pleasantly surprised to find it had opened up and was very tasty. Don't give up on your bottle if you didn't like it after first opening it. Give a few weeks and I'm sure you'll be happy with the results.

Good Service

I ordered two pricey bourbons and got them a couple of days later. I also ordered a couple of difficult to find bourbons and later cancelled because of delays, no questions asked by Mission, it was done without hassles. Mission is a great source and I will gladly use again! Thanks.

I haven't seen the McKenna 10 SB anywhere else for under $100. Mission's price is more than fair, it's awesome! Love the McKenna too...it's so good! ;-)
