Well my wife is from Romania and her Dad makes home made Tuica from prunes that they collect in the mountains. We have been trying to find Slivovica here in the USA just to try to get a similar flavor. Palinca is popular in Romania and we were so happy to find it from Mission Liquor. It's not the same as Dad's Tuica but the flavor is close and reminded us of family get togethers over a bbq of pork or crap (local fish similar to our carp).
