You can read more details about Terre Rouge here on our blog, but I'll give you the bullet points here:
The Tête-a-Tête is a Rhône style blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvedre, each vinified separately, and then married together.
Harvested from 60-80 year old mountain vines that produce concentrated fruit of incredible intensity.
Bottled in 2015, the wine was aged seven years in a temperature-controlled cellar before release; and it's still just $16.99 (which is insane).
Juicy and sweet-fruited, but with a savory and sauvage character that speaks to the maturity of the wine. There's nothing remotely this delicious or complex from California for anywhere near this price.
- We've already sold 10+ cases in the past 30 days just from word of mouth and the excitement of our wine staff. We've never received so much positive feedback from customers.
If you buy one wine from Mission this year, I think this is it. Not only are we confident you're going to think it's fantastic, but it will open your eyes to the immense quality of the regional California wines being made outside Napa, Sonoma, and the Central Coast. There's an entire revolution in high quality winemaking happening in the Sierra foothills, and this is bottle is the gateway drug.
