Unexpected Sherry Rye

I don't recall having a rye finished in sherry before, but I'm a big fan of sherry finished bourbon and scotch so I definitely wanted to give this a try. The sherry is not as sweet or typical compared to a bourbon/scotch, but I was glad that it didn't hide the rye spice/profile. Enjoyable, will be pouring again soon.

Good sipping rye for the price

This is a tasty rye! Based on the description I was expecting it to be a lot sweeter, but the sherry notes smooth out the flavor, without overpowering it. I actually wouldn't mind if the whiskey was a bit hotter. 92 proof isn't exactly low, but it does feel a little bit thin for a "limited release" bottle.
