An interesting, and surprisingly enjoyable mash-up!

Excellent release from a favorite distillery. Classic Lagavulin approach: briny, a little sweet, and surprisingly smooth for an 11 year old! with a hearty and pleasing long dark-chocolatey finish. Very enjoyable dram.

Offerman lagavulin Guinness finish

Having not had the previous Offerman 11 year offering, I can’t compare it to that. I have had the 16, 9 and 8 year. This is definitely closer in flavor to the older lagavulin. Smoke, leather, cherry underneath and less of the bright juicy fruit notes I find in the 8 & 9. Still early in the bottle but the Guinness doesn’t stand out (yet) Cool collectors item. $99 is fair. If u are a Lagavulin fan pick one up but I’d stick to the 16 as it’s a little less expensive.
