Mainly produced with grapes from very old Monastrell vineyards of low yield, as the Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah vines planted at about 700 meters of altitude. True to the namesake ’18 Meses’, this complex and elegant wine is kept for 18 months in French and American oak barrels.
Purple/black in color, it proffers a nose of pain grille, graphite, earth notes, spice box, black fruits, and a hint of balsamic. It opens in the glass to reveal excellent density, savory flavors, plenty of spice and a lengthy, pure finish. It will evolve well for the next 2-3 years.
