The crown jewel of the Jose Cuervo Tequila portfolio has long been the Reserva de la Familia Añejo, the richest and most robust of the bunch. We’ve been selling it here at Mission for as long as we can remember and just about every Tequila drinker has tasted it at some point in their life.

Hence, when Cuervo reached out with the opportunity to purchase our own single barrel of Reserva de la Familia, from a unique range of old and rare casks buried deep in the La Rojeña distillery, we jumped all over it.

Some of the most interesting casks have been the Colombian oak releases that impart deep aromas of tobacco and dark chocolate into the Tequila, making it the perfect pairing for a full-bodied cigar on the back patio this evening.

While other stores have the standard Colombian oak release from Cuervo, this single cask edition is exclusive to Mission. Hand-selected by our team, we found this particular barrel to be more complex, flavorful, and overall just more exciting than the standard edition we sampled. There’s more vanilla, more caramel, more spice, more dried fruits—just more of everything!

The one problem with single barrels is that there’s a finite amount of liquid available, so make sure you snag one of these bottles before they eventually go extinct. It’s the rich and heady Tequila you’ve been waiting all week to sip on.
