Grapes are hand-harvested then carried in small wooden boxes to the cellars, where they are sorted. Fermentation takes places for 20 days in open wooden vats at a controlled temperature with treading. The wine is aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, one-third of which are new barrels.
Ruby red in color with aromas of morello cherries. Very round and wellbalanced, with subtle woody tannins and a silky texture. This racy wine can be kept for 10 years. Delicious with lamb, stew, chicken in wine-based sauces and cheeses.
