Bleasdale Bremerview Shiraz
GOLD - National Wine Show of Australia 2015
GOLD - Royal Melbourne Wine Show 2015
GOLD - Royal Adelaide Wine Show 2015
96 PTS - JAMES HALLIDAY - "Destemmed to open fermenters, 15% whole berries, short cold soak, 9-12 days on skins, pressed to new (15%) and used French oak. Top gold National Wine Show '15, gold Adelaide Wine Show and Melbourne Wine Awards. This is right in the heart of medium-bodied shiraz, black cherry, plum and blackberry fruits encased in a silken web of tannins, and a fleeting glimpse of French oak."
When Frank Potts established Bleasdale in 1850, he built a system of locks and weirds to capture and use the floodwaters from the Bremer River to irrigate his vines. Many of Langhome Creek's vineyards including the Bleasdale's Bremerview vineyard on the banks of the Bremer River, still rely on his original flood irrigation system.
An expressive, medium to full bodied wine showcasing intense lifted dark berry fruits and spice. The palate is vibrant with dense blackberry and fresh plum flavors complemented by licorice and pepper spice.
