MISSION NOTES: This red blend of 70% Garnacha and 30% Monastrell from the DO of Almansa is sourced from estate vineyards located between 2,300 and 3,300 feet above sea level on poor, sandy soils rich in limestone. These vines are farmed organically, without the use of pesticides or herbicides, dry-farmed and hand harvested. The wine ferments in stainless steel and then ages for 4 months in French oak barrels, resulting in an intensely colored, rich, savory wine with aromas of brooding black fruits, licorice, espresso, and pepper.
