Not really experienced with rye. With that said, seeing that it garnered Whiskey of the year honors and, that Mission had it at a reasonable price, I wanted to see what a whiskey of the year tasted like. Alberta Premium on the pallate is bright and effervescent. It's floral and spicy both on the nose and pallete. If you let it get some air, the pallette continues to evolve as well as the Rye spices.
