2013 Weingut Pfeffingen Dry Riesling
Firm and savory, with good cut to the grapefruit and white raspberry flavors, which are loaded with dry extract. Jellied citrus details linger on the finish.


 

2016 Weingut Gunderloch Jean Baptiste Riesling Kabinett
Flinty and fresh on the nose, with a bright and stony fruit aroma, the 2016 Riesling Kabinett Feinherb Jean Baptiste is light and filigreed, round and piquant, as well as refreshingly salty in the finish. A delicious Kabinett.

2016 Gryphon Crest Dry Riesling
Sourced primarily from calcerous soils in Rheinhessen's Spiegelberg vineyards, this dry Riesling offers surprising elegance for such a reasonably priced wine. There's a mineral richness to the palate that lends an expansive feel to plump white peach and tangerine flavors. The finish wraps up with precision. Drink now through 2020. This cuvée is also labeled under the Hooked brand.

2015 Weingut Wachtstetter Dry Pinot Noir
A lighter bodied Pinot with loads of depth. Look for dark fruits and minerality on the finish.

2015 Schnaitmann Simonroth Lemberger
Savory notes of earth, smoke and spice juxtapose sun-kissed black cherry and plum in this ripe concentrated Lemberger. It's full bodied and expansive yet balanced by fresh cranberry acidity and an elegant dried-sage fringe. It's a muscular yet elegant wine edged by fine firm tannins.

2012 Weingut Salwey Estate Pinot Noir
Exotic spice and cedar notes mingle amidst plump red cherries and raspberries on the nose of this perfumed Pinot Noir. Firm tannins form a taut foundation to crisp, tart raspberry and currant flavors and savory nuances of dried herb and crushed granite. It's a remarkably elegant, squarely structured wine that should meld beautifully over the next decade.
