This 15 year old single barrel expression, hand-selected by and bottled exclusively for Mission, is an almost decadent whiskey that unravels on the palate into candied fruit, toasted vanilla, and exotic spices. This is a limited single barrel release that absolutely delivers on every possible level.

HOW: The Whistle Pig Estate Oak series takes the standard rye from Alberta and matures it further in Vermont Oak barrels, made from trees grown at the Whistle Pig farm. The tighter, denser grains, when charred, impart a unique spiciness, turning the herbaceous character of the rye into pure baking spices with maple syrup. At 52.4%, it’s never cloying. It lights up your taste buds from the first sip and it the flavors remain there for minutes.

WHAT: Whistle Pig was started by former Maker’s Mark guru Dave Pickerall as a rye whiskey project in Vermont, before he passed away unexpectedly. While there is distillation happening on site, the older expressions are purchased from Canada and are 100% rye recipes.
